For Jayda's birthday this year it felt like the parties just kept on comin'. She started the week off with a favourite meal at Grandma B's. Steak, broccoli, mashed potatoes, peanut butter cheesecake....yum!!! Then Jayda celebrated at preschool with cupcakes, woke up the next day to her actual birthday where we spent the whole day doing things she loves, and then had her friends birthday party during the weekend so all her school friends could join. All in all a fantastic week of fun!
No birthday is complete without a sparkly princess crown. Thanks Grandma!
Little brothers around the world can't help but open their older siblings gifts, right?
A bit of love for the babe
Excited to open the next gift from big cuz
Next party, Jayda's actual birthday.
Giant bows are fun all on their own. But in the box was the good stuff. Neon, bright and sparkly paint!
J also received a pop up princess castle
After having a great early morning together as a fivesome we packed up and heading skating! G and G Loewen were out to celebrate so they joined us for the day of fun.
It had been a year since we last skated so everyone started with these handy little pusher. But determined Jayda wouldn't use them for long:)
Malachi had never been on skates before. It didn't take him long to figure out that letting others do all the work was a realllly good way to 'skate'!
So sweet up their on the bench.
Let the rides begin
Off she goes!
The cheerleaders
Following our skate we went out for lunch, stopped for ice cream and finished off for a relaxing afternoon at home with new toys.
I don't think I could have planned it better myself. On the morning of her friend party, Jayda woke up to a huge layer of fresh snow! The kids immediately donned their snow gear and headed outside while the adults packed up all the party stuff. Then we made our way to the local bowling alley for one final birthday celebration.
Tickled pink
Daddy getting gift bags all tied up with balloons.
The Tangled movie has been a huge hit in our house so Jayda requested Rapunzel decorations for her theme this year.
Anxiously awaiting the arrival of all her friends!
The pro bowler. Malachi was pretty fantastic.
In total we had 11 kids join us to party. Three lanes of bowling fun. I'm so glad my parents were there to help. Bowling with that many 3-5 year olds is nutty! But we had an amazing time and they all did so great.
Glow bowling kicked in half way through the party. Check out our sleeping glow babe.
