Sunny Arizona!

We just got back from a glorious 2 1/2 weeks of family fun in the sun.  We headed to Scottsdale, Arizona to enjoy time together as a family along with beautiful, hot weather.  Although vacations are much different with two little ones in tow we had an incredible time away and had a hard time coming back to reality.  I thought that we would be itching to come home but I could have stayed...well....forever:)

Leaving the sun to go to the sun!  We left Washington on a beautiful day and wondered why we were leaving.

We rented a home that had a hot tub, pool and fire pit so most of our time was spent outside.  Except for Jayda who couldn't handle the 104 degree weather during our first week.  She opted to watch Dora or colour inside for most of that week.

Malachi loved the water and was happy to be in the cold pool with daddy whenever possible.

The princess took a few rides when forced to cool off in the pool:)

Oh yeah, we also had a putting green in our backyard.  Andrew was eager to teach Jayda all of his tricks.

A quick dip in the tub before bed!

My mom came out for a few days to help out with the kids, which enabled us to go out for dinners together.  We had a great time kid-free catching up on life!

Our first restaurant was the Ocean Club....no where near the ocean but brought in fresh everyday:)

This was the 'seafood tower' which actually made Andrew very sick because he totally over ate and suffered until about 4am!  He thought he probably hadn't eaten like that since he was a kid.

We went to Crackerjax to mini golf, drive bumper boats and go carts.

Grandma kept Malachi cool, busy or sleeping while we enjoyed the park with Jayda.  I think they were both in heaven:)

We actually went to two different houses during our stay.  This home had a nice shady spot to colour while I enjoyed the sun.

A day isn't complete without a trip to the park.  There was a school nearby that had lots of swings and a great covered playground.  Because of the heat all the playgrounds are covered with big tarps to keep the kids cool.

Still no teeth but the boy sure is working hard at getting them out.

We went for sushi one evening...which would explain the surprised look on Malachi's face because I don't really care for sushi.

Unlike my girl Jayda!  She tried everything you can imagine...and it was all raw!

She even mastered the chopsticks;)

One of the many fires that we enjoyed.

We also went to the McCormick Train Park where they had a great train that took us around the park, fabulous playgrounds and an old fashion carousel.

Big squeeze after more late night hot tubbing.

My favourite position!

Enjoying a smoothie at the park.

Taking in the scene....gorgeous!

We had to go to In n Out Burger.  For those of you who have been you know why.  It is a burger joint with the simplest menu but really fresh, yummy food.

All in all, an incredible holiday spent with the three people who light up my life!  I wouldn't have wanted to share it with anyone else.
