So Smart!

This has been a big week for Jayda. She hasn't started walking but her brain is obviously working extremely hard as it seems she has learned a lot in the past few days. Here are her new accomplishments:

-plays 'catch' with her ball as she rolls it back and forth with a willing participant
-will find a light in the room and points at it if you ask her "Where's the light?"
-says the word "ball"
-understands what is being asked of her and responds appropriately....or not:)
-plays peek-a-boo by covering her eyes(well, usually her forehead) pulls them away and says "Dee"(peek)
-is learning to use the word "more"
-says "Mmmmm" when she is eating, as if very satisfied with the food that is going down

Some of these things we have been working on for a little while but most of them were not premeditated. It is crazy to think that all of that can happen in such a short period of time. As each day passes the baby stage seems farther and farther away. It really is quite amazing how life very quickly slips by. Just a reminder to treasure the times that we do have together!
